Administration Guide

This guide explains how permissions work, what access different user types have, and how to configure administrative settings.


Permission Levels


1. Full Access

Description: Grants full access to all App features and capabilities
Default Grant: Jira Administrators
Capabilities:

  • Complete administrative control

  • All features available to administrators and regular users

2. View and Manage Own Work Logs

Description: Allows users to view and manage their personal work logs
Default Grant: All Users
Capabilities:

- Create, edit, and delete own worklog entries

- View personal time tracking data

- Access Dashboard, Calendar, Timesheet, and List views

3. View and Manage Settings

Description: Allows configuring and managing all App settings
Default Grant: Jira Administrators
Capabilities:

- Manage categories and subcategories

- Configure app-wide settings

- Customize time tracking options

4. View Others Work Logs

Description: Users with this permission can view worklog reports for all users in the Jira instance
Default Grant: None
Capabilities:

- View team-wide worklog data

- Access reports for all users

- Read-only access to other users' time entries

5. View and Manage Others Work Logs

Description: Users with this permission can edit and delete worklog entries for all users
Default Grant: None
Capabilities:

- Full edit access to all worklog entries

- Delete any user's worklog entries

- Manage team-wide time tracking data
