Anyone who can see a Jira work item (formerly called an issue) can see its Storyboard AI videos, and anyone who can edit it can change and render them.
Storyboard AI is scoped to Jira work items: one work item holds one storyboard. There is no separate project list to manage, and nothing to share — if a teammate can already see the work item, they can already see its storyboard.
What a storyboard stores
-
Video dimensions and frame rate (default 30 fps)
-
A list of frames in order
-
Style settings (template, captions, colors, transitions, cover)
-
Recent renders
Who can see and edit it
Access follows the work item's own Jira permissions. Storyboard AI does not keep its own invite list, roles, or access requests.

If you can... |
Then in Storyboard AI you can... |
|---|---|
|
Browse the work item |
View the storyboard and download completed renders |
|
Edit the work item |
Add, edit, reorder, and delete frames; change settings; render; delete the storyboard |
In Jira terms, viewing requires the Browse Projects permission and editing requires the Edit Issues permission on that work item. Every action is re-checked against the caller's real permissions, including actions taken through the Rovo agent — the agent can never do more than the person asking it.
To change who has access, change the permissions on the Jira work item or its project.
Deleting
Deleting a storyboard removes its frames and uploaded media. If the app is uninstalled, rendered videos are removed from storage and the app's stored data is purged by Atlassian on its standard schedule.
