Charts and Reports for JSM

Customize VIEW26 Portal Reports

Let customers explore a shared report using additional filters, such as Priority or Created. A Jira administrator chooses the available fields in Portal Filters.

Configure Portal Filters

  1. Open Jira admin settings โ†’ Marketplace apps โ†’ Charts and Reports โ†’ Settings.

  2. Select Customization โ†’ Customer Portal.

  3. Under Portal Filters, click Select Fields and choose a field from the list. You can type to search for a field.

  4. Repeat for each field you want customers to use. Selected fields appear below the selector.

Changes are saved automatically. To remove a filter, click the remove icon on its selected field.

Use the filters in the customer portal

  1. Open your profile menu in the Jira Service Management customer portal and select Charts and Reports.

  2. Open a View shared with your organization.

  3. Choose values in the available filters to narrow the report.

Why are the filters different from the agent View?

Adding a field through More Filters in an agent View does not make it available as a customer portal filter. Configure the fields separately in Settings โ†’ Customization โ†’ Customer Portal.

Portal Filters is an app setting, rather than a separate field list for each View. Choose from the fields available in Select Fields; not every Jira field is available.

Filters help customers narrow the report. They do not grant access to additional requests or replace View sharing and access settings.

If a custom field is missing, ask your Jira administrator to check Data Sync & Projects โ†’ Projects โ†’ Fields and confirm that the field is included in the app.
