What is included in the Advanced edition?
Advanced includes the Standard reporting features and adds three analytics widgets: Backlog Trend, Time in Status, and Issue Aging. Use them to understand backlog changes, workflow delays, and aging work.
Do I need Advanced for SLA reports, customer portal reports, or exports?
No. The standard edition includes SLA and CSAT reporting, customer portal reports, dashboard sharing and permissions, PDF/Excel/image exports, scheduled email reports, and custom branding in Standard. These are also included in Advanced.
Does the Advanced button in the view filters mean I have Advanced edition?
No. The Advanced button beside the view filters switches to the JQL query editor. Basic and JQL filtering are Standard features. The Advanced badge on a widget identifies edition-specific analytics. These labels refer to different things.
The view’s Advanced filter button opens this JQL editor. The Basic button returns to the filter controls.
Where do I find the Advanced widgets?
Open a view you can edit, select the blue + button, and look under Advanced widgets in the Widgets library. You can also choose Create Custom Widget → Chart → Next → Built-in Chart, then select the chart from Built-in Charts. See the Advanced edition: analytics guide for screenshots and setup steps.
Which Advanced chart should I use?
-
Backlog Trend: understand how the historical open-issue backlog changes by day, week, or month.
-
Time in Status: identify workflow stages where issues spend more time.
-
Issue Aging: group issues into age ranges to spot older work and prioritize follow-up.
How is Backlog Trend different from Created Vs Resolved?
Backlog Trend shows historical open-issue backlog. Created Vs Resolved compares issue creation and resolution activity. A count of work created during a period answers a different question from how much work was open at a point in time.
Does Time in Status include repeated visits to a status?
Yes. The Advanced feature includes repeated visits to workflow statuses. In the editor, select Average time and choose Days or Hours. Select the relevant statuses to focus the comparison.
Can I report on only open or only resolved issues in Issue Aging?
Yes. Set Resolution to Open Only, Resolved Only, or All Issues. Check the view and widget filters as well when comparing reports.
Can I change the age ranges?
Yes. Choose a Bucket Ranges preset: Default (7/30/90/180), Weekly (7/14/21/28), or Quarterly (30/90/180/365). The preview labels the age ranges in days. Choose the preset that matches your review cycle.
Why is my Advanced chart empty or different from another report?
Check these items before comparing results:
-
Confirm you are looking at the intended view and data scope.
-
Review the view’s basic/JQL filters and the widget’s filters, including date restrictions.
-
For Time in Status, check the selected statuses and time unit. For Issue Aging, check Resolution and Bucket Ranges. For Backlog Trend, check Granularity.
-
Ask an administrator to check the relevant project data sync. See Data Sync & Project Configurations.
-
If the issue continues, contact VIEW26 Support with the widget type, settings, and the result you expected.
How do I get Advanced, and where can I check pricing or trial availability?
Ask the administrator who manages your app subscription to check the available edition options and current terms on the Atlassian Marketplace app listing. Use the current listing for pricing and trial availability. If Advanced is not offered for your site, contact VIEW26 Support.
What should I check before changing back to Standard?
The three Advanced analytics features require Advanced edition. Before changing your subscription, identify the views that use these widgets and confirm the impact on existing widgets and access with VIEW26 Support. Standard includes the core reporting, sharing, and export features listed above.
Does choosing Advanced replace the view-sharing settings?
Edition selection determines available features. Continue to review who can access each view using the app’s sharing controls. The Basics documentation explains that view data access is managed separately from Jira security schemes. See Sharing a View before sharing reports with customers or other groups.
