Access to Settings

Worklog Reports – View and Manage Settings controls access to the app’s configuration. The default grant is Jira Administrators.

What Settings includes

  • Categories and Sub categories

  • Quick Add activity configuration

  • Preferences: calendar hours and daily target

  • Sync: Jira worklogs and project scope

  • Jira fields: tracked custom fields

  • Permissions information and the link to Jira Global Permissions

Maintaining other users’ worklogs

Set up access

  1. As a Jira administrator, open Jira Global Permissions.

  2. Find Worklog Reports – View and Manage Others Work Logs and assign the group that needs this access.

  3. Check team reporting access as well, so users can find the people and entries they need to maintain.

Edit a worklog in Timesheet

  1. Open Timesheet and select the relevant person and date range.

  2. Enable Edit Mode when available.

  3. Use the editable hours in the grid to select the worklog to change. Where a cell contains multiple logs, choose the required entry.

  4. Review the worklog in the edit form, change the required values and save.

  5. Confirm the report reflects the intended change.

If Edit Mode is missing, ask your Jira administrator to check the dedicated edit-others permission. Viewing all users’ reports alone does not grant editing rights.
